County Brochure

Welcome to the Nottinghamshire Football Association.  The Nottinghamshire FA is here to inform everyone for a bigger and better future for football in our County.

2008 heralded the launch of The FA’s National Game Strategy, which will take us up until 2012 and is underpinned by four goals and three key enablers:

Goals:
• Growth and retention – sustaining and increasing the number of players
• Raising standards and addressing abusive behaviour – creating a safe and positive environment
• Developing better players – focusing on improving the quality of the 5-11 age group
• Running the game effectively – leading and governing the game

Key enablers:
• Workforce – recruiting and developing a highly skilled and diverse paid and volunteer workforce
• Facilities – improving the quality and access of training and playing facilities
• Promotion – effective marketing, PR and communications

To view the National Game Strategy, please click here and a downloadable copy is available.

The FA National Game Board is investing in each of the 45 County Associations to implement the strategy. Nottinghamshire FA will benefit from a significant investment for the next three years and in turn this has resulted in a number of changes at the Nottinghamshire FA.

The booklet on the right gives you a flavour of the support that is available to all of our clubs and football workforce as well as providing a comprehensive list of courses that the county runs.

If you would like any further information on anything in the booklet or help during the coming season, please do not hesitate to contact the relevant member of staff.
