Who is the FA Equality Workshop aimed at?
For all managers, FA and County FA Staff, County Development Staff, Volunteers, Parents and Charter Standard Clubs. . For those Administrators involved at County, District, League and Club level.
Purpose:
This workshop is aimed at all Football organisations who are developing opportunities for disabled people to participate in football. It is designed to build confidence when working with disabled people and covers disability legislation, best practice when working with people with a disability and actions to take to promote inclusive football. It will support staff and volunteers who may deal with disabled people both face to face or on the telephone.
Benefits of the Workshop:

- Examples of best practise in relation to disability equality and football in clubs and organisation.
- Recognition of the implications of the disability discrimination act in relation to grassroots football.
- Guidance on the appropriate language associated with disability.
- Recognition of the importance and most appropriate ways of consulting and communicating with disabled people.
- Support to develop an action plan to actively promote equality in the club or organisation.
- Support to promote inclusive clubs / the disability player pathway.

This workshop is £25 per candidate, or £20 if the candidate is part of an FA Charter Standard Club.
