Equality Workshop

Who is the FA Equality Workshop aimed at?
For all managers, FA and County FA Staff, County Development Staff, Volunteers, Parents and Charter Standard Clubs. For those Administrators involved at County, District, League and Club level.

Purpose:

This workshop has been designed to:

  • Support county FA's with their plans to increase inclusion for members of the community who wish to participate. It supports the objectives outlined in the national Game Strategy.
  • It will raise awareness and knowledge of equality in football, identify issues and barriers, and guide appropriate action plans.
  • It is a generic workshop covering all equality issues - women and girls, disability, ethnic minorities, young / older people and other socially excluding factors.
  • It is a pre-requisite for handling Discrimination cases training.

Benefits of the Workshop:

The Benefits of attending include gaining:

  • Knowledge of legislation and terminology e.g equality, diversity, sports equality and equal opportunities.
  • An understanding of the demographics of England and football and the benefits and barriers to equality.
  • Knowledge of the most up to date diversity sensitive language and behavior.
  • Understanding of the organisations grievance / complaints procedure.
  • Recognition of unfair, inappropriate and illegal behavior and state how to challenge and report it.

This workshop is £25 per candidate, or £20 if the candidate is part of an FA Charter Standard Club.
