Disability Football

The Nottinghamshire FA is striving to ensure that every disabled person who wants to be involved in the game has the opportunity to reach their potential.

The FA are working to make football as accessible as possible for all the following levels of ability: Blind, Partially-Sighted, Deaf and Hearing Impaired (men's and women's teams), Cerebral Palsy, Learning Disabilities and Amputee football.

The FA is continuously committed to creating opportunities at all levels for anyone with a disability to get involved in football – whether as a player, referee, administrator, coach or spectator.

There’s also a national network of county disability centres, specialist clubs and a structured pathway for individuals to realise their full potential.

The FA also works closely with clubs at all levels to provide guidance and advice on welcoming disabled players and supporters – and to comply with current legislation.

It’s all about creating equality – where everyone has the opportunity to be the best they can, or simply to enjoy ‘the beautiful game’ in the best environment possible.

In all its work, The FA strives to ensure doors are permanently open to people with all types of disabilities and creating a safe environment to play football.
