The Nottinghamshire FA’s objective is to increase the number of active Female Football coaches throughout the County. The Female Coach Mentoring Programme is aimed at developing and supporting female Level 1, newly qualified Level 2 football coaches and those that are interested in taking coach education courses.
What is Mentoring?
A relationship built through a series of workshops to develop coaches’:
• Technical and professional skills
• Develop further knowledge and understanding
• Improved competence in coaching
• Helpful attitudes and habits (e.g. confidence, organisation)
• Awareness of potential coaching pathways
• Clarity about personal values and goals
The Mentoring program is aiming to increase knowledge and confidence of active coaches and to give these coaches ongoing support. From this we hope that the coaches will develop as effective coaches working with their players and reach their potential
