One of the Precision Training Notts Senior League's founder clubs - Siemens FC - has withdrawn from the league for the immediate future.
Siemens cite lack of players as the main reason.
They finished last season at the bottom of the Senior Division and were due to be relegated – however, ex-Magdala boss Paul Thackeray was appointed as manager for the 2008/09 season and was planning to bring a number of players with him.
At the 11th hour, however, Thackeray advised Siemens Chairman, Steve Oldham, that he has been offered a position at Ruddington alongside new manager, Steve McDermott and that the opportunity was too good to turn down.
Consequently, Siemens have withdrawn from the NSL for now. They will, however, continue to run a veterans team and hope to get back into Saturday football after a season out.
