Bestwood Miners’ Welfare will be looking to close the gap on Notts Combination Premier Division leaders Wellington Inn this Sunday, when they play one of their six games in hand.
Currently lying in second place – and with the division’s only unbeaten record – Bestwood will be confident of taking all three points from their home game with second-to-bottom New Fairham.
Another game with a bearing on the top of the table sees third-placed Calverton Miners’ Welfare go to the team level on points with them, Total FC.
Both Bingham Town and their visitors Bear are still in need of points to secure safety, while Kimberley MW can boost their chances of finishing at least runners-up by beating Sycamore St Ann’s.
