Facility Development

The Nottinghamshire County FA, through a broad range of strategic priorities and investment, aims to increase the quality and quantity of pitches and facilities, thus providing increased opportunities and enjoyment for all. If you are looking to renovate or build a football facility, this section of the website is to guide you in the right direction; key to delivering any facility project is engagement with The Nottinghamshire FA.

Nottinghamshire FA’s County Development Manager has a key role to support facility development. This may involve support to gauge project feasibility, guiding you through the funding that may be available and most appropriate and assistance with Business & Football Development Planning.

Nottinghamshire FA recognises the importance of high quality facilities for football across the County and works hard with key stakeholders to understand the demand for facilities, the need to protect playing fields and address any issues around the potential loss of facilities. Funding for facilities is constantly changing, but The Nottinghamshire FA aims to keep you up-to-date with the main funding bodies that can support the development of facilities.

The FA, via its investment into The Football Foundation is looking to support projects that will make a difference to a football club and the community it serves. As ever, the demand is expected to be exceptionally high and will exceed the financial resources we have available. However, Nottinghamshire FA, The FA and The Football Foundation will continue to offer advice and support in relation to facility projects where it is considered to be of benefit to football and in addition, will try to identify any other relevant funding sources or seek to work with you to reduce overall project costs.

The first step is to complete and submit The FA’s on-line EOI Form:

The Nottinghamshire FA Expression of Interest Form

Even if you have previously completed an EOI Form please submit this form to provide us with the most relevant and up to date information. All EOI's will be scored upon the window closing on Friday 15th November 2013.

Scoring comprises of a number of elements including FA Charter Standard, number of existing teams based on site, financial sustainability and proposed project requirements. Please ensure your project aims are realistic.

All projects will be contacted in December 2013 with The FA’s and County FA’s comments. Guidance and advice will be provided where appropriate. The higher scoring projects will be invited in for an informal presentation to be held on 18th December 2013. Priority projects will then be identified and will be asked to work up their applications throughout 2014 with full backing and support from all parties.
