Groundsman of the Year

The nomination process for Groundsman of the Year will be open soon!

Each year we look for nominations for grounds men and women in the County, those whom work tirelessly to ensure we have a pitch to play the game. The Award recognises the contribution of these unsung heroes of the grassroots game and aims to encourage the development of groundsmanship.

Each County FA will be collating nominations and will then submit their top three applications to The FA to be in contention to win the national Award. Nottinghamshire County FA's groundsman of the year is supported via a partnership with Fleet (Line Markers) Ltd who will supply prizes to the top 3 county winners.

For information on this years nomination process please contact Ricky Stevenson.

IOG Training Courses

To support grassroots groundsman in Nottinghamshire we are holding an IOG - Level 1 (Practical Maintenance of Sports Surfaces) training course, this is based on feedback from groundsman we have been working with whom have requested further formal training, so working in partnership with the IOG and local partners we are able to bring this course at a subsidised rates for those working in Nottinghamshire.

The course will run on Tuesday 24 October 2017. Please see link for further information and registration - IOG Course Booking Form - 24 Oct 2017.
