The programme offers:
- After schools skills coaching courses at Skills Centres across England.
- Free holiday skills coaching sessions for boys and girls of all abilities.
- Skills coaching in schools supporting over 1,200 primary schools each year.
The full time, professional coaches in Nottinghamshire have a full CRB check, and have undertaken a specialist coaching courses to improve the football skills of 5-11 year olds.
There is also a dedicated website at www.TheFA.com/TescoSkills The site allows children to improve their football skills by receiving free guidance, drills and coaching videos. There are also sections on the site with further information for parents and hints and tips for coaches.

These after-school Skills Sessions take place during the school term and are run by official FA coaches who are qualified, experienced and have an enhanced CRB. Skills Centre Sessions last a minimum of one hour and cost a maximum of £2.00

What is Skills Extra?
The FA Tesco Skills Extra sessions are for children aged 8-11 who have shown signs that they might be ready for the next challenge. Children invited to these sessions will have displayed a motivation to learn and improve and they will be given the opportunity to participate in a specially devised programme designed to accelerate not only their football skills but also their decision making, thinking and problem solving. The players will be observed and reviews to check progress and to ensure the programme meets their needs.
