Notts FA Make Signing of the Summer!

Rebecca Kemp joins Nottinghamshire FA team

Following some outstanding applications and interviews, The Nottinghamshire FA are delighted to announce the appointment of Rebecca Kemp as Assistant Football Development Officer.

Rebecca, 22, brings with her experience as a 2013 Loughborough University Graduate in Sport and Exercise Science, as well as having spent the last 12 months as a Sports Development Assistant for Leicestershire and Rutland Sport, at Charnwood Borough Council, working on some major sport development projects.

We asked Rebecca a few questions for you to find out a little more about our new member of the team!

How did you feel when you were offered the job?

"I was thrilled to be appointed to the role. I applied because I'm extremely passionate to develop football and have always wanted to pursue a career within The FA. Football's always had a big place in my life and I'm currently playing for Leicester City Women's FC who are playing in the newly formed FA Women's Premier League. I'm also representing England in the National Women's Deaf team, where fingers crossed, I'll be selected to attend The European Championships in November!"

What are your key work areas?

"I will be working on The FA's Charter Standard Programme, FA Football Futures, FA Club Mentors and The Mash Up Programme. I'm really looking forward to getting stuck in, working with the team and meeting new people as I work with clubs and key partners of the association."

How do you unwind out of work?

"Away from work I am a keen sports person, I try to get to the gym whenever I can and I'm currently training for the Great North Run taking place in September. I'm also heavily involved with Football as I said earlier, playing for Leicester City Women's and representing England."

I'm sure you will join us in welcoming Rebecca to Nottinghamshire's great football family and wish her the best of luck in her new role!
