Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers among men. This year, an estimated 161,360 men in the United States will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. For unknown reasons, the risk of prostate cancer is 74% higher in black men than in non-Hispanic white men. Most prostate cancers (92%) are found when the disease is confined to the prostate and nearby organs. This is referred to as the local or regional stage.
In June this year 5 lads from Nottingham, all involved in non-league football cycled from Barnsley to Amsterdam and between them rained just over £8k. This year they want to be bigger and better and get as many riders possible in the team with lots of supporters on their side.
As this is labelled by Prostate Cancer UK as the biggest ride and party in football, backed by the English Football League and League Managers Association the group are hoping to get a few leagues and clubs interested in the event, with the hope that leagues could sponsor them so clubs would follow suit.
Clifton All White have a full page in their programme every home game. They are looking for each league and club to sponsor their team £50, in return they will recognise your gesture on their website and keep everyone informed on social media of the progress. Find more information here.
If you are a club or league and want to support the group you can contact them on firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07937246660.
