NOTTINGHAMSHIRE REFEREE WINS APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR AWARD

    •

Well done to referee Jordan Bancroft who won ECA Edmundson’s Apprentice of The Year 2017.

For over 40 years, the ECA Edmundson Electrical Award has showcased the best talent in the industry. Established in 1975, the ECA Edmundson Award is the premier training award in the electro-technical industry. The award aims to recognise outstanding apprentices who not only have good technical skills, but are role models for others in the industry. The award is sponsored by Edmundson Electrical with the administration and promotion from the Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA).

The winner will act as an ambassador for the industry, encouraging others to consider an electrical apprenticeship or perhaps a change of career.  The ambassador will be involved with ECA campaigns and events throughout the year.  They will also receive an array of prizes from Edmundson Electrical including a cheque for £1500, a state of the art toolkit and a unique trip overseas.

Having been shortlisted for the final four apprentices in the UK, Jordan Bancroft was announced as the winner at a Gala lunch on 20/9/17.  In the photo below are (L to R) Colin Brunton (Regional Director), Mark Felber (Edmundson’s MD), Jordan Bancroft (Winner of Apprentice of The Year), Steve Bratt (ECA CEO).

Darron Littlehales, Managing Director, Imtech Engineering Services Central commented: “It is a fantastic achievement for Jordan to have won the overall national apprentice award. He is a product of the development culture in the business and we are all very proud of his success. In the year ahead Jordan will be a brilliant ambassador for the industry."
