Toton United Youth FC joined the growing number of Charter Standard Clubs in the County, after being awarded Development Club status by The FA.
On Tuesday 6th February, Tim Jones our Football Development Officer for Youth Football attended the U9 and U10 girl’s teams training session at Chilwell Olympia and presented the award to club Chairman Colin Eastwood. Our picture shows Tim making the presentation to Colin, with the girls and U10 coach Craig Barker looking on.
The club has grown over the last few years, and now have 11 teams playing from Under 7s to Under 12s, both girls and boys.
Colin explained what the award means to the club “After some years of planning, ensuring that we build a successful and thriving community club. Toton United is delighted to have been awarded Charter Standard, the award itself means that the club can move forward. There are so many avenues we can now take in terms of the club development, creating a stronger foundation for all the children. The committee itself has worked tirelessly in achieving this goal behind the scenes”
Congratulations to Toton United Youth FC, welcome to the Charter Standard club!
Charter Standard remains a key part of The FA’s strategy to improve standards in football, and to ensure that it is played within a player centered environment, and is sustainable for many years to come.
Any club which needs help in either becoming a Charter Standard Club, or in maintaining its Charter Standard status should contact our Football Development team.
