Vacancy - Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO)
Full Time (initially fixed contract to 30th June 2021)
Salary Banding £27,087 - £31,992 per annum
The Nottinghamshire Football Association is looking to appoint a full time Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO).
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful applicant will be required to demonstrate knowledge of safeguarding and child protection together with a working knowledge of safeguarding legislation.
The role will form part of the Senior Management Team through which the DSO will drive and manage the County Football Association’s safeguarding strategy to ensure delivery of the FA Safeguarding Operating Standard.
Experience of collating sensitive and detailed information and compiling written reports and statements will be essential. An understanding of the culture and structure of football, and/or working with volunteers would be beneficial but not essential to the role.
You will work as part of a Safeguarding Team and will be expected to be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to positively influence at all levels.
Whilst the role is office based you will be required to have a flexible approach to working hours as these may include evenings and weekends. The successful applicant must hold a valid and current driving licence.
