YOU CAN AFFILIATE YOUR FOOTBALL CLUB FOR 2019/20 NOW!

 

To start your affiliation go to https://wholegame.thefa.com/Account/Login and use your FAN and password to login.  If you have forgotten your FAN and/or password go to https://www.thefa.com/account/RequestPasswordReset

 

Once in The FA Whole Game System (WGS) your club section tabs will appear across the top of the screen, please select the club section you wish to affiliate, and on the menu list down the left side of the screen you will see a folder near the bottom for ‘affiliation 2019/20’, select that and the process will begin.  In the top right of the screen you will see a ‘how to guide’ which is interactive and take you through all the processes you will be required to complete.

 

Please note that when entering stage 1 of your new affiliation in The FA WGS it may take a few minutes for your form to generate as it will be loading the most up-to-date data, the more teams in the club section the longer the download will take.

Please Note – Women’s Club Affiliation Fees are sometimes not pulling through on the final summary and invoice – The FA IT department are looking into this, but if the £45.00 club fee doesn’t show on the summary we will send a separate invoice for this into your WGS portal.

 

2019/20 Nottinghamshire FA Cups (Supported by Bluefin Sport) entry fees:

 

  1. Saturday Senior Challenge Cup – It is compulsory that all mens teams in the National League System steps 1 to 7 enter this competition.

     

  2. Saturday Senior Challenge Trophy – This is optional entry for all Saturday open age teams outside of the National League System.

     

  3. Sunday Senior Challenge Cup - The Nottinghamshire FA will invite eight Sunday teams into this competition structure, we will liaise with Sunday leagues to invite their 2018/19 premier division winners (and possibly runners up) into this competition. This will not show up as a choice for open age Sunday teams so if you wish to enter a cup please select the Sunday Senior Challenge Trophy and if you get selected to enter the Sunday Senior Challenge Cup The Nottinghamshire FA will move your entry to the correct competition.

     

  4. Sunday Senior Challenge Trophy – this is optional for all Sunday open age teams. This cups aim is to find the best affiliated Sunday team in Nottinghamshire outside of the eight teams that will be invited to compete for the Sunday Senior Challenge Cup.

     

  5. Women’s Senior Cup – this is optional for all open age women’s teams to enter.

Insurance:

 

It is a mandatory requirement for a club to have in place a Legal Liability policy and each team to have a Personal Accident policy that meets the minimum specification set by The Nottinghamshire FA, before affiliation will be approved.

 

Bluefin Sport are The Nottinghamshire FA’s recommended insurance provider for the 2019/20 season and have developed insurance policies specifically for amateur football clubs & teams that meet the minimum requirements of The Nottinghamshire FA.  Bluefin Sport are The Football Association’s appointed insurance broker, to deliver the National Game Insurance Scheme (NGIS), providing insurance covers that have been designed to meet the needs of grassroots football at affordable prices.

 

Personal Accident insurance can be purchased online at https://www.bluefinsport.co.uk/nottinghamshire or by completing the application form in the brochure and returning it to Bluefin Sport, with a cheque in remittance of the premium payable, there is an extra £5.00 administration charge to apply offline.  If you purchase cover online, your policy documentation will be e-mailed to you immediately following the completion of the purchase, plus a copy is e-mailed to The Nottinghamshire FA, thus ensuring no delays in processing your affiliation.

  

You can take out your Legal Liability cover when you affiliate through The Nottinghamshire FA and add this as a product by simply selecting a checkbox in your clubs portal in The Whole Game System (WGS).

 

Please note you do have freedom of choice to arrange insurance through an alternative insurance provider, however, you must ensure that the cover provided through the policy you select meets the minimum requirements of The Nottinghamshire FA.  If you choose an alternative provider you MUST send a copy of your policy document through to us, so that we can verify that it meets the minimum requirements. Obviously if you choose Bluefin Sport you will have immediate piece of mind knowing that the policies are designed to meet the minimum requirements of The Nottinghamshire FA as our recommended insurance provider.

 

Below is a summary of the insurance costs in respect of the minimum cover requirements, provided through Bluefin Sport:-

Any clubs that have U6’s or below (i.e. soccer tots, soccer schools, development teams etc.) will be automatically included in the clubs personal accident policy as long as the club have purchased a personal accident policy covering a youth team(s).

  

MULTIPLE TEAM CLUBS WHO HAVE 40 OR MORE TEAMS SHOULD CONTACT BLUEFIN SPORT TO DISCUSS BEFORE COMPLETING THEIR ONLINE APPLICATION AS THERE MAY BE FURTHER DISCOUNT AVAILABLE.

 

For adult teams playing at higher steps of football in the National League System, The FA do set a minimum level of Personal Accident insurance more than the minimum requirement of the Nottinghamshire FA (Superior 200 policy), Step 4 teams require Superior 300 or above and Step 2 and 3 teams require Superior 400 or above.  The Personal Accident insurance provided by Bluefin Sport has been designed to meet The FA’s requirements applicable to these steps of football, and details of the minimum requirements, as well as the applicable level of cover, can be found on their website or via the application brochure.

Other information:

 

For clubs with youth teams (Under 18’s teams and below) please note The FA policy for 2019/20:

 

  • All team officials identified volunteering with the team (Manager, Coach, Assistant Manager, Assistant Coach, Goalkeeping Coach and First Aider) are required to have an FA accepted, Criminal Records Check (CRC) within three years of issue date at the point of affiliation.
  • An individual cannot be the named manager/coach for more than four teams within the same club.
  • The Club Committee, Secretary, Chairperson, Club Welfare Officer and Treasurer will be required to complete an online safeguarding course for committee members.  To access this course and for further details click here http://www.nottinghamshirefa.com/about/rules-and-regulations/safeguarding-and-welfare If you already have this qualification you do not need to redo it, the qualification date will be on your FAN.
