The Nottinghamshire Football Association are pleased to announce our recent staff changes
The Nottinghamshire Football Association Has Recently Seen Two New Appointments Made Following A Successful Recruitment Process
Senior Football Development Officer (leading on Male Participation) – Marc Birkett
Marc has been with the Nottinghamshire Football Association for the last 6 years as our Referee Development Officer. Over the last six years we have seen massive strides being made within Refereeing across Nottinghamshire and Marc’s enthusiasm and passion has been the catalyst behind this.
Marc made the decision to step away from the Referee Development world to take on the opportunity to be part of the Nottinghamshire FA’s Senior Management Team line managing and overseeing the Football Development Team taking him back to his Football Development roots. Marc will lead on Male Participation as part of his development role which will include the development of Futsal which as a FIFA Futsal referee is an exciting prospect for him.
Referee Development Officer – Melissa Burgin
Melissa has been appointed as our new Referee Development Officer. Melissa is a level 4 referee who has recently officiated on the Womens FA Cup Final at Wembley.
Melissa joined the Nottinghamshire FA in February 2019 as Football Development Administrator supporting the referee department with appointments and admin. However it didn’t take long for Melissa to get involved in Referee Development and assisting in shaping the future programmes surrounding refereeing. Melissa has a real passion for refereeing and will continue the great work that is already in place whilst putting her own stamp on it.
Everyone At Nottinghamshire FA Wish Them Both Luck In Their New Roles.
