Notts FA celebration

Earls 2nd Birthday

The Lionesses win the Euro’s and Earl our Safeguarding Mascot turns 2 so what better way to celebrate than host a Celebration Party!

On Tuesday 9th August 2022 Nottinghamshire FA organised an event to celebrate the Lionesses winning WEURO ’22; the event also provided the perfect opportunity for the CFA to celebrate Earl’s 2nd Birthday Party. A great afternoon of football took place at Gresham Park where a variety of football themed activities were organised for participants aged 5 – 13 years to continue the celebrations.

The afternoon finished off with a ‘Happy Birthday’ & ‘Sweet Caroline’ renditions and dancing with Earl and the participants were handed party bags which also contained a safeguarding information card for children.

Earl is the ‘All Ears’ Notts FA Safeguarding Mascot, Earl wants to spread the word to children about keeping safe in grassroots football across Nottinghamshire and will be out and about at football activities throughout the season.

A big thank you goes to Lewis Vaughan-Jones; the Football Fun Factory for supporting the event and Rushcliffe BC for hosting us at Gresham Sports Park.

Has the success of the Lionesses inspired you to get involved in the game?

Check out the recreational participation opportunities document to find out what sessions are available for girls and women to get involved and try football for the first time.
