Following on from the success of our CPD event with Nike last week, please see the list below of all upcoming workshops we have booked in the calendar so far:
29th March – Psychology Workshop ran by Notts County
Notts County’s Psychologist, Claire Davidson, is hosting a workshop on the 29th March at Meadow Lane looking at what Sport Psychology is and how coaches can start working on their player’s psychology to improve player performance.
There are only a few spaces left on this workshop so make sure you don’t miss out!
11th April – Dribbling ran by Chris Dowhan
Nottinghamshire FA’s County Coach Developer, Chris Dowhan, is delivering a workshop with a focus on dribbling and the importance of receiving and turning on the ball which play a major part in being able to dribble successfully.
16th April – Mental Health Awareness Workshop
This workshop will be delivered by two very experienced Mental Health Doctors to help people within the football community gain knowledge and understanding of mental health and how to approach the subject with both youth and adult players within their clubs. The workshop is suitable for anybody linked to a grassroots club or delivering football in the community.

25th April – Planning Workshop ran by Forest Ladies Manager, Graham Abercrombie
We have teamed up with Graham Abercrombie, Nottingham Forest Ladies Manager, who will be delivering a workshop with a focus on planning. The evening will start with Graham discussing curriculum planning and session breakdowns, leading onto personal action planning on how to become a better coach. This will be followed by a practical workshop where Graham will deliver a session based on what you as coaches feel you need extra support with.
25th May – England DNA Foundation Phase ran by Pete Sturgess
The Foundation Phase DNA is an exciting new resource for grassroots coaches, which is jam packed full of ideas, sessions, articles and videos based around the FA 4 Corner Model for long term player development. There are age specific sections which will be a real benefit to all coaches, but especially those entrusted with the footballing development of our youngest players.
As always, we are continuously updating the CPD Event Calendar so we look forward to announcing more upcoming events!
