Saturday Senior Cup Quarter Finalists
After last weeks abandoned matches replays of the Saturday Senior Cup last night found three more quarter finalists.
Last year’s competition runners up, Carlton Town, beat Bingham Town 2-1 to progress. Carlton came back from being 1-0 down and took the win after extra time.
Bingham Town 1 – 2 Carlton Town
Extra time was also seen at Eastwood CFC who last night welcomed Ollerton Town FC. Eastwood took an early lead scoring in the opening minutes of the game, Ollerton responded quickly and everything was back square (1-1) by 20 minutes in.
Both teams held out for the 90 and it was Eastwood that eventually took the win after 105 minutes, three Eastwood goals deep into ET secured the win 4-1.

Gedling Miners Welfare found their game went all the way, eventually claiming the win after beating Hucknall Town 4-5 on penalties.
At half time Gedling trailed 1-0 and after the break Hucknall doubled their lead within the first 5 minutes (2-0). Gedling won a penalty which found the back of the net and then responded quickly with another to even out the score line at 2-2.
After extra time the teams were still tied, and it was down to penalties to find the winner. Hucknall missed their fifth leaving it to Gedling’s Dean Gent to get his team the win and a spot in the quarter final.
