Tackling Mental Health Issues

Helping you to find the support you need to get through these challenging times

We’ve pulled together some tips and advice from The FA’s charity partners to help you to find the Mental Health support you need

Earlier this year The FA and its partners united in an attempt to kick off the biggest ever conversation on mental health. This formed part of the wider Heads Up campaign, aiming harness the influence and popularity of football to normalise the discussion of mental health issues and dispel the stigma that often surrounds them.

Since then the world has changed dramatically, with the COVID-19 pandemic impacting one everyone’s lives in ways we could not have expected. In challenging times like these, looking after both our physical and mental health is of the utmost importance.

We’re all facing different challenges, stresses and pressures, but it’s important to remember that whatever you’re going through and however it’s making you feel, it’s okay to talk about it. This can often be an important first step in helping you feel better.

The FA’s charity partners and other mental health charities in the UK are here for you and ready to give you the support and guidance you might need through this challenging time.

Coronavirus may be a physical illness, but its implications have far-reaching effects on mental health too, and as we continue to navigate our way through the ‘new normal’, it is vital to look after both of these as best as possible.

Below we have collated some of the support, information, and tips that are available to help us all get through this difficult period.
