FA Grassroots Youth Coach of the Year Award 2020

We are delighted to announce the winner of the FA Grassroots Youth Coach of the Year Award 2020,  Broxtowe United’s U11’s Coach, Ben Leverton.

Ben was nominated for his dedication and support he provides to his players. Ben has made a big impact on my boys football, Ben is just an all round good egg and all the team adore him. He is always there for the boys, if they have any issues they can always go to him, he is also a great support to the parents. Ben is just an amazing coach and gives 110% to his team.

We caught up with Ben and his team after he received his award, here’s what they have to say;

What does it mean to you to have won the Grassroots Youth Coach of the Year Award?

“This award means everything to me, I’m very passionate about my coaching. I just want to say a massive thank you to the club and also to the players for supporting me through my coaching journey.” Ben Leverton, Youth Grassroots Coach of the Year 2020

Jo Leverton, Assistant Coach – “He constantly works hard to improve the lads and also to improve himself as a coach, he always tries to make his sessions fun and creative. All the kids love him.”
