Walking Football
Walking Football is a relatively new format of The Game that has been gaining a lot of popularity recently.
The game, a slower paced version of the sport which is accessible to all regardless of age, health and ability, has experienced a strong organic growth in recent years and has acted as the catalyst in attracting many people back into football due to its various health and fitness benefits and a strong sense of fun and enjoyment.
Normally played at 5 or 6-a-side, in smaller 7v7/futsal goals, and with a few other adjustments, Walking Football allows those who may otherwise have had to give up playing to continue their playing days, as well as providing huge health and social benefits. Many sessions see players staying behind for a cup of tea and a chat.
The Laws of the Game for Walking Football have recently been launched by The FA.

WALK THIS WAY FOOTBALL
New Women’s Walking football initiative to increase recreational opportunities, open to females 16+ to access, whilst offering a less traditional format of the game to get women involved.
I had to stop playing 11v11 over 30 years ago due to a back injury. It's now sorted so I wanted to get back playing but there was nothing available in my area until I found Walking Football at Harvey Hadden. I'm just mad about playing football, I like watching it but I prefer to be out there playing it, you only live once so get out there and enjoy yourself!
